Drew and Suzanne
I am finally getting around to finishing up my posts from September!
Suzanne and Drew booked me almost 2 years before their wedding! I was honored and immediately 'hit it off' with both of them. Here are a few pics from their engagement session ...

We went to a park in Fairfield. These pillars and ivy were at the library. Just beautiful.

Drew had the most unique watch I have ever seen! I love the artistic numbers it had on the face.

I love this shot. So cute together!!

We had some great evening light and I loved the way it lit up their faces. Giving everything a warm wash ...

of course, the headless shot ...

Love the pavilion on the background ... framing them.

Suzanne and Drew .... I am so excited about the wedding next year! You two are a couple who, in my mind, are perfectly matched.

Brittany
Brittany's mom has been a friend of mine for awhile now and I was honored when she called me and asked me to take Brittany's senior pictures. And, for those of you who know her mom - the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?

Had a really good time over at Ault Park. I still love doing pictures there.

Here is Brittany's great smile!

And, I hope Brittany doesn't kill me for this ... but I absolutely LOVE her freckles - and, hence, this picture!

This next photo is such a great still photo. I love the light.

At Brittany's request, we headed over to her highschool to take some pics at the ball field. Of course, we couldn't pass up sneaking onto one of the school buses for a photo. Hey! They left it unlocked!

A couple of dugout pictures ...

Brittany's favorite photo ... and one of mine as well!

Brittany, I hope you have a great senior year! Thank you again for letting me take your senior pictures. I had a lot of fun with you girls!

NEW SITE is LIVE

To all of you who have been patiently waiting ... my new site is finally up and running! Click on the link to the right to get to the site OR click HERE.
Leave me a comment to let me know what you think. I'd love to hear from you. There is only one part of the site that I haven't quite finished. It is the testimonials page. Right now there is only one up. There will be more. I just need to do a little more work.
I decided to put it up a couple of days early so I wouldn't be bombarded with emails asking why it wasn't up yet on Nov 1st. I know you guys were just waiting for me to be slow so you could pounce on me - but I win!
Yay me!
A big thank you goes out to my hosting company CoreBlue for being such a joy to work with. If anyone is looking for a host for a site, please contact Mike at Coreblue and tell him I sent you.
One more quick note:
GO BENGALS!!!

Emma
Personality plus! - that's the first thing I noticed about Emma. She is definitely a firecracker! After talking to her on the ride over to Ault park, I found out that she and I had a lot in common!
We headed out at the crack of dawn on a Saturday in Sept. She is a morning person like I am!
Here are a few shots from our session.

Great smile!

sometimes I'm funny :)

I love the light on this shot - how her face is only well lit on the one side.

Emma has the most fabulous red hair!

One of my favorite shots from our session ...

A little flare ...

Emma, I hope you are having a wonderful senior year! I had so much fun with you. I couldn't have asked for a better subject!

Faces ....
Wow .... has it really been this long since I've posted?? I guess I have some catching up to do!
I've titled this one 'faces' because this session had so many funny and expressive ones. This was a session with two cousins who are absolutely adorable. You might remember them from previous sessions .... they are getting so big!
Here we have 'Roh' giving me his 'pondering face' ...

Little 'Lill' being silly ....

See? Photographers take such abuse ...

So serious ...

Here is a shot of the two of them together ... just hanging out.

Of course there were tons of them that I loved: family portraits, naked baby shots, and a bunch more of the two cousins together ... but I thought this would be a fun way to show a little more personality.

Thank you again for a wonderful session! Next time I see you ... we'll have the WHOLE family together! I can't wait!

Kim and Matt

I headed out to Oxford for Kim and Matt's engagement shoot. I love it out there. Everything and every location is a photo opportunity.

These two are such a relaxed couple and I enjoyed hanging out with them on a gorgeous fall day! Here are a few images from our session...

My headless shot ...

Probably one of my top two favorites from their shoot....

I like their body language in this one. It makes the shot even more interesting to the eye.

Kim and Matt, I had a great time! Hopefully you are enjoying the images. I"m looking forward to working with you again in December!

Sexy shoot with Melissa and Matt
Had a great session with Melissa and Matt! Talk about a sexy couple. We got some great images!

You don't always have to be surrounded by a 'park-like' setting to have intimate photos. They can be done anywhere ... so keep this in mind when booking your engagement sessions with me.

Probably my favorite shot from the shoot ... I love her expression!

Standing in the middle of the street ... yet somehow they managed to forget that there were people and cars all around.

This is our 'strong woman' pose ...

One of my favorite things in intimate photos is seeing hands up around the face. I am not sure why this adds such a dimension to the photos, but it really does - as in this next photo (and in a lot of theirs).

And who says you can't shoot after dark??? They were great sports and let me try out an idea I had in my head of shooting in the dark using headlights on their car.

I even brought out my Lens Baby for a shot!

Melissa and Matt, thanks for a great session! I had a blast working with you both!

Family photos

What a great group! I had a lot of fun with this family of 6! These are just a few of my favorite images from the session ...

Can you imagine being the only child and then your parents have TRIPLETS? I'm sure his world was rocked! Now having said that ... he is an amazing older brother and does so well with his siblings!

a quiet one ... he was so easy to photograph with his easy going personality.

the 'showboater' ... oh yeah ... loves the spotlight!

Ahhh ... the girl!

Poor thing ... with 3 brothers ... she won't get away with much.

Loved this swing shot...

this next shot I'll label ... 'bookends' - so cute.

The girls ...

Still not sure how he was able to carry around the oldest on his shoulders!

a little rumble-tumble session .... love it!

Thank you so much for trusting me with your family photos. I hope you are enjoying them!
