Jennifer and Jonathan
Jennifer and Jonathan had a beautiful ceremony on September 8th. I enjoyed working with this couple because they are so classy in every way. Such a wonderful couple with a bright and happy future ahead of them.
They chose to use Beth from Glendale florist. I have to brag on Beth for a moment. She did an AMAZING job with the flowers and decorations for the ceremony and reception. I am very particular about who I recommend when it comes to other vendors. I have a high standard. Beth exceeded that. If you need her contact info, please let me know.

Their ceremony was at the Indian Hill church. I love this shot of the church.

More of Beth and Jennifer's doing. The wreaths that they designed and hung on the doors of the church looked FABULOUS!

Jennifer has a timeless beauty. Reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in some ways.

Jonathan was her handsome groom. Such a perfect couple ...

Love this shot of Jennifer and her dad coming down the aisle.

This little guy was bribed with a lollipop in order to walk down the aisle and stay still during the ceremony. He did a fantastic job. I love this shot of him ... too cute!

Normally, I only post photos that I took on my blog, however, this shot that Karen grabbed on their way back up the aisle with the bagpiper is great. I had to give it props here!

The grand exit ... complete with rose petals ...

Although the previous shot show a little more ... I really like this next one. I love their faces and the closeness it exudes.

Another 'timeless' photo of the couple. Very classic.

A side note (when I do anything 'extra' to a photo (as in the case below), I always provide a more 'basic version as well)

The guys went out to celebrate with cigars during the reception ... I loved this shot of the smoke ring.

SLIDESHOW

Jennifer and Jonathan, I wish you a lifetime of happiness. I have enjoyed every minute of working with you two and I can't wait to hear all about the honeymoon!

Karen, thank you so much for helping out again and being my right hand!

Nicke and Ritchie's wedding
I would first like to say that Nicke and Ritchie booked in 2005 for their wedding. I was honored to photograph such an important day in their lives. This couple is destined for good things. They are both so genuine and so genuinely in love. And it was obvious, on their big day, how many people adore them as much as I do. Here are a few images from their day.

I loved Nicke's shoes. They were just so stylish!!! And something about this shot of them, makes them timeless.

Ritchie's pocketwatch with his name engraved on it.

Ritchie doing his 'signature' pose. And, yes, Ritchie, you NAILED it! Very nice.

Nicke getting ready ...

I love this shot. As she was leaning over to look in the mirror laying on the table, the lights reflected back up in her face. Something about it struck me as interesting and I shot it. Love the result.

A happy accident ...

I always have guests at weddings say to me 'do you mind if I take pictures too?' I'm not going to mess you up, am I? My answer is ... unless you are standing directly in front of my lens, then by all means, take as many as you want! Below is an image that I got of Ritchie hugging his mom after she came down the aisle. I happened to take it at the same time as someone with a flash. I absolutley love the fact that I got the shadow of the videographer in my shot. Plus the other shadows created by the flash are just 'cool'.

Jumping the broom.

I've only had the 'jumping of the broom' in two of my weddings. I love what it symbolizes. This is a neat shot of the usher carrying it down the aisle to them.

Such a great group of guys. They were all so photogenic and loved the camera!

Ritchie also nailed this shot.

Nicke looking magnificent!! I did an antique tone on this one and it looks more like a photo from the 1970s.

WOW.

This shot just sums up their relationship. They are so close and it showed all day long.

This one could be my favorite shot of a 'father/daughter' dance. Nicke's face has so much joy and happiness in it. Love it!!

Did I mention that these two are totally into each other???

Nicke and Ritchie, I wish you a lifetime of happiness! You two are amazing to work with and so easy to photograph. Thank you for sharing your special day with us.

Thank you, Karen, for making my job so much easier!

Stephanie and Mike

Stephanie and Mike's wedding was held on one of (if not THE) hottest day of the year! Whew! So glad things have cooled down since!

It was a beautiful ceremony for a wonderful couple. They are both so much fun to be around. I got a little bit more artsy with some of their photos ... Stephanie likes 'different' - as do I, so I took advantage of it.
Here are a few imges from their day along with a slideshow at the end.

The shoes ... I am such a sucker for shoes ...

One of my headless shots...

Stephanie looked stunning ...

And Mike definitely gets props for being able to work a camera as well ...

The 'guys' shot .... (with a little sun flare - :) of course)

Stephanie's veil took off in the wind and I snagged a couple of photos of her laughing as it blew in the wind. Love the whole series ... but here is just one

Why am I such a sucker for sun flare??

A detail shot ....

The couple was surprised with bagpipers who piped them out of the ceremony!

I love it when my couples do things differently ... anything different is always fun. They had no wedding cake, but rented the Flub's Ice Cream truck to come and deliver ice cream to their guests instead! I loved it. I even got some for the ride home! Mmmmmmm

First dance under the tent .... I love Stephanie's laugh.

Mike and Stephanie ....

I wish you a lifetime of happiness. I sincerely thank you for allowing me to share your beautiful day! Congratulations!

A countryside wedding...

There are certain people in life who, when you meet them, you know .... they belong together.

enter

Kelly and Brett

An amazing couple who I instantly felt a connection with and knew I wanted to photograph their wedding.

Here are a few of my favorite images from their day at Oneonta.

The dress - in some amazing natural light ...

Kelly getting all dolled up ...

and checking to make sure everything was looking fabulous ...

the rings ....

Every so often you have to throw in an 'overall' shot. I love this one because of all that it shows ... the girls watching Kelly get into her dress, one girl getting her hair done and another one doing her makeup. Sometimes these shots can be hard to get without looking 'cluttered'. This one turned out wonderfully ... it was as if everyone grouped themselves 'just so' for my shot :) Thanks girls!

Kelly getting her veil on ...

A few pics of the couple before the ceremony ...

love it!

Brett - such a handsome guy!

There is something about Kelly that is so calming and wonderful. She is quiet, calm and absolutely beautiful in every sense of the word. I think this photo shows that quiet beauty that she exudes.

makes me laugh just looking at this one ..

Cuteness!

MULTIPLIED BY 2!!!

The twin flowergirls were adorable ... it just doesn't get any better than this ...

A detail shot of thier shepherd's hooks and flowers they had lining the aisle...

Kelly hugging her dad before she is married ...

the happy couple

Their exit was so much fun! Sparklers!!!!

Kelly and Brett .... I wish you a lifetime of happiness. You two are destined for a blessed life!

Another big thank you to Karen for keeping me in line (always)!
