For anyone trying to reach me over the next week or so ....
I will be 'out of the office' until November 7th.
I just got back from Boston and am heading out again tomorrow at the crack of dawn.
I don't think I'll be able to update the blog until I return.
Aloha everyone!

Jen and Jake.
This wedding was a blast! The couple was so full of spunk and energy! Totally my kind of couple. We were everywhere. Here are a few shots from the day...
the shoes.

the groom's details.

Jen getting her hair done.

I love this shot. I love the light hitting her dress. I love the way she curled her toes up as she was sitting there (a sure sign of excitement and nervousness!)

Jen had plenty of help getting her dress on.

the programs.

the kiss.

Jen was SO expressive the WHOLE day. I could have just put a post out here with only pictures of her different facial expressions. She's just adorable!

Here she is smiling ear-to-ear during their first kiss as a married couple.

the girls walking toward the 'new' Fountain Square.

in front of the fountain.

for some reason, I decided I wanted to try a picture that was reminescent of the old photo with the couple standing in the field with the pitchfork between them. It is an old painting by Grant Wood named 'American Gothic'. This is my 'modern' version.

the first dance.

then things started to get wild!

I wish Jen and Jake a wonderful life together. I will let you know when your proofs are in! I hope you had a blast on your honeymoon!

Thanks to Karen for working with me and anticipating what I need even before I need it! It is always a pleasure.

Bravo!!!!
Jeffrey Sebelia

So, I know that Jeffrey was not the 'crowd favorite', BUT he has been my favorite since the beginning of Project Runway's Season III.

Got together with the girls last night to watch the Finale. We had a great time! Hooting and hollering and cheering and tearing up (sometimes all at once)!

Jeffrey is so creative and talented (as were all of the final designers this year), but we can't ALL win, right?

One of his winning looks...

I wish I had the money to have him design a 'rock and roll' outfit for me!!

Thank you, Kim, for entertaining us last night! And thank youto David for 'tolerating' our rowdiness!

Megan
I've known Megan since she was 9 years old! I can't believe she's a senior in high school.
I feel old.
She has turned into a beautiful young lady. And what a TROOPER. It was COLD when we did her senior shoot. She didn't complain once!

Love the warm light on this one...

She had a way of 'falling' into great poses ... completely on her own. Loved it!

Megan, I had a great time with you! I always feel SO lucky that I have such great clients. They are all so wonderful to work with. I know I sound like a broken record everytime I mention this, but it is SO true.

Have a fun senior year and I'll email you when proofs are in!

Caroline
I had an amazing shoot with a wonderful family last weekend. They just had a baby girl. Here are a few pics from their session.
I love these first couple shots of her with each of her parents. They are both so in love with her! It's kind of hard not to be ... she is an absolute angel!

Daddy's girl.

His heart just melted as soon as he picked her up. Now tell me she's not going to be spoiled :)

Now, you can't see it, but JUST outside of this picture is a mom on one side and a dad on the other ... my 'spotters'. I can't possibly spot the baby AND shoot. They were both more than willing to be 'at the ready' in case she decided to wake up and try to move around.

She did wake up for a little while. She coo'd and squeaked but never cried .. not once!

Like I said - an angel.

Congratulations on the new addition! She's a beauty!

'Ciege'
I had the opportunity to work with a great young lady a couple of days ago. She has a fascinating personality and is planning on going into Fashion Design - Textiles and Polymers. I told her I can't wait to see her on Project Runway (of course, I'm assuming she'll audition for it). I'm kind of addicted to the show.
We had a great time running around to some different locations and she had some ideas of her own, which I love! Here are a few of the pics from her session...

Love the black and white ... I really like my black and whites to be a 'tad' warm. I do not consider them 'sepia'. Sepia to me has too much orange and brown in them. This is just a smidge of warmth. Perfect.

I love this next shot. I realize that not everyone likes the same images that I do, but she started looking in this window while we were downtown and I love the reflection. I did a blur effect on it to make it look more 'artsy' and just love the way it turned out.

My husband says this next shot looks like something out of a magazine....

Totally reminds me of 'Legally Blonde' in this uber-cool pink silk jacket!

Of course there are a ton of other great headshots for her ... but I can only post so much on the blog and I picked these as some of my favorites. After all, it is MY blog :)

Ciege, it was great working with you. I hope you have a great year and keep me posted on the fashion design. I'd love to know how things are progressing for you!!!

Erin
I had a great time with Erin this past weekend. She is such a sweet girl with a wonderful disposition. Easy going and fun! I think I was laughing with her for most of our shoot! Here are a couple of my favorites.
I swear everytime I have another shoot, I get a new 'favorite of all time' photo (lately it has been more than one)!!

Erin, thank you so much for making my job so enjoyable! I wish you all the best for your last year of high school!! Have fun!

I had Jill's official senior shoot this past weekend. There are not a ton of people who are as comfortable in front of a camera as she is. So much fun to shoot. She brought one of my favorite things ... a cowGIRL hat!
Just a few ...
