I read an interesting quote the other day so, of course, I had to share.
"For most of life, nothing wonderful happens. If you don't enjoy getting up and working and finishing your work and sitting down to a meal with family or friends, then the chances are that you're not going to be very happy. If someone bases his happiness or unhappiness on major events like a great new job, huge amounts of money, a flawlessly happy marriage or a trip to Paris, that person isn't going to be happy much of the time. If, on the other hand, happiness depends on a good breakfast, flowers in the yard, a drink or a nap, then we are more likely to live with quite a bit of happiness."
~Andy Rooney
The only part I question is the very first sentence. I believe wonderful things happen MOST days, but then I have always been an optimist :)

The 'slightly' older half...
Had a wonderful time working with both of these seniors. Andy has a great sense of humor and definitely kept me on my toes! Here are a few of my favorites from his shoot.
Here is a quick pic of the two of them together...
and just so nobody thinks the shoot was too serious ... here is what I saw 'most' of the time!!!
I hope you two have a great senior year of highschool - it was great meeting and working with you both!

I had another senior shoot that started yesterday and ended today. They are twins! This is the first half of the shoot so stay tuned ... more to come.
Allison was so much fun to work with. Up for anything and a real trooper. Not to mention gorgeous. How do I always get so lucky?
Again, as always ... these are a few of my faves. It was so hard to choose so I posted 8!
Allison, thank you so much for making my job easy. It was an absolute joy to work with you! Keep in touch.

I know that most people who come to my blog, come to see the pictures. So, I try and post as many as I can even when they are just personal shots from my daily life.
Yesterday my mom and I went to see my daughter in a parade for cheerleading.
Here are a few shots from the day.
After their part of the parade was over, the girls hung out and watched the rest from the sidelines. At which time, she got pulled back into the parade for a juggling act. She winced the whole time, hoping that she wouldn't get hit by anything!
At the end of the day we headed back home WITH all of our 'to go' carnie-food!

I was wandering around online the other day and ran across a truly inspiring story. So, I thought I would share.
Ever heard of Team Hoyt?
After watching the video ... I was without words - it is a story about a father's love - one we could all learn something from. If you get a chance, it is worth watching.

I had the opportunity to work with a couple of friends this weekend at a wedding on my side of town! I had a great time. I'm not sure I've laughed that much while working! Jerome and Rick, thank you so much for letting me tag along on Saturday. It is rare these days that I get to shoot as a second photographer, and even more rare that I'm a THIRD! It was a great opportunity to work with guys that have been in the industy for awhile and to 'play' a little bit. This first shot is of the back wall and ceiling in the church.
A quick intimate shot of the girls chatting and laughing while getting photographed. And, of course, the guys!! Doting over the 'little guy'. The bride running down the hallway so as not to be seen by the groom.
Her peeking out to see if she can see anyone ...
A quick posed shot we grabbed them for during the reception.

On Monday night, I went to watch the fireworks in Fairfield. It has become a tradition since I moved to Cincinnati 6 years ago. This year they had a 5 hot air balloons come to Harbin Park and do a 'Glow'. It was pretty cool. Here is an image of them all lit up. Even though it is hard to tell that one of them is actually LIT, you'll just have to trust me on this.
On the 4th of July, we went out to our back patio to find that we had a visitor. This little rabbit could have fit in the palm of my hand; he was so tiny. And since he was new to us .... he hadn't yet learned to RUN when I went to take out my camera. So, I took a couple of photos of him. He was gone the next morning. Hopefully he found his mom and they all lived happily ever after ... I hope.
